Mike Bennett was born in Stokes County, grew up in King, and has practiced law in the King community for 30 years. Mike graduated from South Stokes High School, obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro, and acquired his Juris Doctorate from Wake Forest University. After passing the State Bar in 1989, he knew he wanted to practice law in King, a place where he was familiar with the residents, and where he had family and friends — a place where he could make a difference in his own community.
Mike currently handles the firm’s transactional real estate matters, estate planning and estate administration, and complex real estate and estate-related litigation cases. In his extensive litigation background of more than thirty years, he has taken numerous cases to the North Carolina Court of Appeals and the North Carolina Supreme Court. He is a member of the North Carolina State Bar and the North Carolina Bar Association.
Mike's approach to practicing law is a no-nonsense one. He’s not a game player, can be a shrewd negotiator, and believes in getting straight to the heart of the matter. His years of experience have led him to understand that each client’s motivations and perspectives are unique. His patient, calm demeanor tends to set clients at ease. He treats his clients fairly and honestly, and is always discreet and professional.
Mike and his wife reside in King and have three sons, two daughters-in-law, and four grandchildren.
